About RecycleDir
RecycleDir is a directory of verified recycling and disposal options across major US metro areas. We cover electronics recycling, battery disposal, and paint disposal — with structured data so you can compare costs, restrictions, and services at a glance.
Why We Built This
Finding where to responsibly recycle electronics, dispose of old batteries, or get rid of leftover paint is frustrating. Government-run pages list facilities but don't help you compare. Private recyclers only tell you about their own services. Phone books are dead. Search results are cluttered with junk.
RecycleDir exists to fix that. One place. Structured data. Every listing researched, every detail verified.
How We Verify Listings
Every listing on RecycleDir is researched using multiple sources:
- Official city, county, and state government websites
- Recycler and disposal company official websites
- Phone verification where available
- Google Maps, Yelp, Chamber of Commerce listings
- State environmental agency records (ADEQ, etc.)
Each listing includes a verification date. Listings are re-verified every 90 days. If you find an error, let us know and we'll fix it within 48 hours.
