Harris County Household Hazardous Waste Facility is a municipal hazardous-waste program in Houston. They accept electronics including computers, monitors, tvs, and printers, batteries (all household batteries, rechargeable, and lithium-ion), and paint products such as latex paint, oil-based paint, and paint thinners. Cost: Free. Hours: Tue-Wed 9 AM - 3 PM; 2nd & 4th Sat 9 AM - 2 PM (by appointment only). An appointment is required before drop-off. Located near US-290 & Gessner. Appointment required. Serves Harris County residents not served by City of Houston HHW programs. Also holds seasonal HazMobile collection events in each precinct. Call (346) 286-4294 for closure info. Restrictions: Harris County residents outside City of Houston jurisdiction only (those who don't receive City services/paid taxes). By appointment only. No business waste.
