Hillsborough County HHW & Electronics Collection is a municipal hazardous-waste program in Tampa. They accept electronics including computers, laptops, monitors, and tvs, batteries (alkaline, rechargeable (nicd, nimh, li-ion), and button cell), and paint products such as latex paint, oil-based paint, and paint thinners. Cost: Free for Hillsborough County residents. Hours: 5 CCC locations: Mon-Sat 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (varies). Walk-ins are welcome. 5 Community Collection Centers plus monthly HHW events. Also accepts paint, batteries, automotive products, pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs. Tampa residents can use these facilities with valid City of Tampa ID. Restrictions: Residential waste only. Proof of Hillsborough County residency required (driver's license). No business/commercial waste.
